Jaisalmer, Rajasthan

Temparature was above 50 degrees centigrade, terrifying hot. Only I could say that it is not preferable to live there. Days are too long and nights are too short. Sun rises at 6.00 am and sets at 7.30 pm. But the light remains till 8.20 pm. The days were hardest. It seemed like different planet. Unexpected cyclone of sand, unexpected rains and unexpected change in climate won't allow the people to live stable. Those are desert areas. It is like whole place is broiling and impossible to get enter into the city during the day time untill after dark then. Due to unbearable hot, heat has blown away the air-conditioners in so many rooms in the restaurant. To make the days too worse, air-conditioners wont work properly. Ah! I didn't tell about the place which I'm talking about...it's Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, the historical place in India.

Jaisalmer, land of Rajputs, once a sleepy desert city, now it has transformed itself into a major tourist destination of India. Thar desert, Jaisalmer city commands premiere position among the tourist attractions scatterd all over the desert land of Rajasthan. The Jaisalmer city is revered by both Indians as well as foreign tourists. The most attraction areas of Jaisalmer are Jaisalmer fort, Havelis, Gadsisar lake, Jain temples... I have visited each and every attractive places in Jaisalmer including those places which I have mentioned right now. It was nice and great to visit Patwa Haveli, I passed my own comment on Patwa Haveli in a note book in a palace in that Haveli.

The people in Rajasthan speaks rajasthani, Hindi as well as Urdu. And Jaisalmer is close to Indo-Pak border.

Let me explain you something about Havelis of Jaisalmer which I have gathered information from the guide...

Actually Haveli is places, which served as the residence of ministers and landlords. They call them as Waziris. Usually they are very big and have lots of rooms and open space. Those Havelis were ruled by three owners. They were Nathmal ji ki Haveli, Patwon ji ki Haveli and Salim ji ki Haveli. And Patwon ji ki Haveli is actually the collection of 5 small Havelis. And the different Havelis are famous for different things. Every Haveli has their own greater significance.

According to geographical conditions, it rains little only during the monsoons. In Summer, the direct sun rays on the people are very dangerous. And in Winter, the temperature is around 25 degrees centigrade and nights are chilly and average night temperature is around 7 to 8 degrees centigrade. Neverthless, there are instances when the temperature has dipped to as low as 2-3 degrees centigrade.

And about shopping in Jaisalmer... I felt, my Jaisalmer trip would be incomplete if I don't purchase anything like Jaisalmer goods. A number of traditional Rajasthani handicrafts are available in Jaisalmer. It is famous for embroidery, Rajasthani mirror work, rugs, blankets etc... I bought four dress materials which are totally handicrafted for my sisters and for me..and three mufflurs for each one of us and one total embroidery saree.

And I have visited museum, captured some photographs there. It was nice to see the instruments used in the war. I could gather the names of some instruments which named... Arrow head, Lance butt, Anukush good, Boyonet (It will attach to pistol, 18th, 19th century), Baag Camel rein (actually to tie for the camel neck), Gun powder flask, Small pistol ( Its too tiny one... equal to our fist), small shield and spear, bow and arrow, Soldiers Helmet, Dagger with shield, Gurkha sword with sheath, Boyonet etc....

And also visited some statues, like lady writing love letter, Bathing lady, Devoted dancer, Dancer sending message through parrot, Emotional mother, Radha concentrated to Krishna, Mirror viewing lady, Lord Rama , Bally dancer etc...

And one more thing I could appreciate about Rajasthan that, it is still being ruling by the Kings and I'm not aware about the politics playing in that state. But the great thing is, it is ruling by Kings. The present King is Brijraj Singh. All constructions were like palaces, and these are the palaces where the Kings and their families used to live in the ancient times. They never dismantle it, now they are hotels and restaurants. Everything looks very clean and rezerved in Jaisalmeer, as shown in Old Indian movies, and like the days of Sri Krishna Devaraya period.

Recently, I have seen one Hindi film named Nanhe Jaisalmeer. We can see the places, deserts of Jaisalmer in that film.

hooh!! thats the thing... anyway it was my memorable experience in Rajasthan... :)
In my next post i'll introduce my cute dogs... Prince and Duke.

we have the rights to love anyone only if we keep our promises

Again I have not been able to update my blog from few days. But there was no particular reason for not updating in a while.

Today let me tell you a small incompleted love story....

It was a rainy season, the wind was blowing heavily. She was coming from a shop by finishing her shopping. Her face was covered with her hair because of continous blow of wind. He was not able to see her face for a moment. By the time he was trying to reach her, he fell into a drainage and asked for help. She was behind the drainage and gave him hand and pulled him out. The first touch of her hand...the holding of her hand really made him go crazy. He fell in love with her....I mean...love at first sight... He was totally dipped in the drainage water, as his face was totally covered by dirt water, she was not able to recognize his face. After helping him, she went away... But her soft touching of her hand disturbed his mind and was willing to see her again...Days had been passing over, but she did not appear to him... But the thoughts of her were roaming around his mind and was waiting for her hopefully...

One day, he and his mom had to go to meet his mom's friend in Ananthapuram, it's a hill station area. They were going by car. It was raining heavily. Suddenly the tyre got punctured. He got down from the car to change the tyre. While he was changing the tyre, a car passed him splitting dirt water on his face, again his face was totally covered by black dirt water...but he didn't bother. Another car was passing him, he saw the girl in that car and didn't believe his nerves. He tried to call her, she gave a look at him from the car and laughed at him by seeing his joker face covered with black dirt water. Even this time also, she was unable to recognize his face...

The story was going on like that...

But the twist was that, she was the daughter of his mom's friend. He felt he was very lucky....He loved her more than anything in the world..He was even ready to sacrifice his life for her..He loved her a lot. When he was trying to propose her, eventhough she was ready to accept his love, she was hesitated to say yes because she was already engaged with some other guy... by hearing this, he was mentally disturbed.

What will happen next? I don't want to say the rest of the story...because writing won't get you the right feeling, as I felt. This was a telugu movie named 'Vaana' which I've watched in this morning. The climax of this movie really made me to cry. I liked the climax very well. I'm feeling bad for not seeing this movie till now....

Watch the climax of this movie...but sorry for not getting the original print of this clipping...its a telugu movie...I know all cannot understand this language...but as soon as possible I'll write each diologue of this clipping.....

I would like to say few words about love....

Love...it would be a great treasurable experience....we should respect love...don't try to crash it, don't try to spoil it. Please don't cheat anyone and don't be cheated by anyone.... We should try to keep up our words if we make promises.... If you don't have time to love, please don't love anyone, enjoy your individual life happily without making promises... Because it is a union between two hearts, and don't let it end till the death.....

Life is short....
They say it takes a minute
to find a special person,
an hour to appreciate them,
a day to love them,
but then an entire life to forget them........

Tell me some of your opinions about..... "To love someone is a not a great thing, but in some situations, sacrificing that love is a great thing" how far this sentence is true....
let me know some different opinions from different people......

nice day

It's great feeling when the climate supports me to refresh my mind. I can sense the coolness going into my heart. But I know, it suddenly will split up. :p

When I was small, I thought that all are good in this world. But it's not true... sometimes some unexpected are good and sometimes some expected are not good. I hope to go in a good working order. So I don't worry about what it might be or what will happen and when it will happen, just to enjoy it when it does.

When I was studying in my school, in every parents meeting, the teachers were used to say, be like her by pointing me. My mom and dad were very proud of me and in the same way they were wondered, coz' at home I was very silly girl, at the same time, at school I was very calm and silent. I used to maintain only less friends with more trustable, in the theory like, less luggage is more comfortable.... so, less friends are more trustable. And my friends were also liking to make friendship with me. And my communication with those friends are still going on good. So sweet of them!

Wow! the climate is very cool.... feeling very pleasant...
I'm feeling like, why don't this climate want to be cool forever like this....
I have only less time to spend infront of my system....

life of Pooja Chopra : Miss India

The words from Pooja Chopra : "The crown didn't come to me very easily. I had to struggle hard. That when I complained to God for not being helpful.

Life has changed completely after winning the Miss India World 2009 title. I am feeling all the more thankful to God for his blessings. I feel that each and every moment of life has been planned and executed by him. Whenever I get a compliment, the first thing that comes my mind is to thank him. Every night before going to bed, I recall the wonderful moments in my life. I have had my share of struggle both in my personal and professional life. The crown didn't come to me very easily. I had to work hard for two years. And it was during this phase that I complained to him for not being helpful. However I didn't know that he wanted me to enjoy every bit of success after this struggle period gets over. There is no singular incident that makes me feel closer to him. In fact, there are a series of incidents. When I moved to Mumbai to chase my dreams, I struggled a lot. I had to stay all by myself - pay for accommodation, food, commuting and look for work as well. At times, I felt helpless. I asked him why he was giving me a tough time when all I wanted to do was to participate in the beauty contest in the since childhood. Why was not he supporting me? Astonishingly, things started falling into place. I was not too keen to participate in Femina Miss India because of the expenses involved. I thought it would be a double expenditure. However, a friend introduced me to designer from Pune, who agreed to sponser my entire wardrobe for Miss India East. I felt great, but since my budget didn't allow, I asked her to design only for the Miss India contest. But to my surprise, she said that she would design for both and that too free of cost. She said that she had a gut feeling that I would win. Again, a similar thing happened when I met gym - instructor. He owned four gyms in Pune. Though I was aware that I wouldn't be able to meet the expenses that he charged out of curiosity I went to him and enquired about his fee. Surprisingly, he had also the intuition that I would win. Everything was magical about those moments when I was preparing. Finally I won and everyone's gut feeling proved true. Before my victory, I felt responsible for my parents' split that happened 23 years ago when I was born. God planned all these events in my life. It's God's closeness to me that has made all this possible."

As told in interview to Priyanka Bhadani.......

I won't let anyone to take advantage of my kindness

Today I felt, others, I mean, those who are around me, tried to take advantage of my kindness. I tried to find balance between generosity and negativity. My kindness got me a few points with others. Let me see what will happen next... If I get taken advantage of my mood will certainly be spoiled and my faith may be questioned. No, I never let my thoughts go in this way. I'm the same as in the past and will be the same. I won't let anyone to take advantage of my kindness anymore.... sure....

a small moral story

A philosophy professor stood before his class with some items on the table in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with rocks, about 2 inches in diameter.

He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into the open areas between the rocks.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
He then asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous “Yes.”

“Now,” said the professor, “I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The rocks are the important things - your family, your partner, your health, your children - things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter - like your job, your house, your car.

The sand is everything else. The small stuff.”

“If you put the sand into the jar first,” he continued “there is no room for the pebbles or the rocks. The same goes for your life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take your partner out dancing. There will always be time to go to work, clean the house, give a dinner party and fix the disposal.

Take care of the rocks first - the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.”

struggles in modelling career

The main reason I'm writing about the movie Fashion, because I felt to express something about modelling career. Scenes in this movie , I mean, these incidents are happening in modelling career. It is fact. It is true. Handle success in this career is luck and God's gift. No relation is stable in this career. They have to forget about their relationships, every step seems a new success to them. There won't be a place for love, friendship or anything like that. They have to end up making relations. Sometimes it leads to lose their sanity and takes refuge to drugs and sometimes it leadsto become mad. Offcourse, it depends upon the mindset of a girl. Because this story was similar to the real life of Geetanjali.

Movie Fashion is a real glamour movie. Things shown are most similar to the the actual happenings. And the presentation and performance by the characters made the audience very happy. Story is based on, dream of becoming a model, not a model, super model. The role played by Meghana Mathur was extraordinary.

Priyanka Chopra plays Meghena Mathur who dreams of becoming a super model. Though her conscience does not allow, she beats her small town sensibilities to achieve her dream. She meets up a gay friend who connects her to fashion designer. In the process of her struggle, she meets her model friend played by Arjan Bawa. Priyanka moves in to his place, they end up making love and finally moving out of each other, because Priyanka spends more time with Arbaaz Khan, owner of the brand Panache, for which she is given a lucrative assignment. The Panache assignment which Priyanka gets is the one which was represented by Kangana Ranaut. She is terminated by Arbaaz Khan who puts his favorite Priyanka Chopra instead. He impregnates her and when Priyanka embarrasses Arbaaz in front of his wife, he pulls her down the modeling career. Meanwhile a drug addict Kangana Ranaut being thrown out of the modeling world, dives herself full into cocaine and drug abuse, and becomes mad. Priyanka too cannot handle her success and her termination from Panache, and takes refuge to drugs and spends night with a stranger. She is about to lose her sanity when she sees Kangana Ranaut, in the news and takes the responsibility of taking care of her. Atlast sonali Gujral (Kangana Ranaut) dies in the end of the story...
